#Where There’s A Wilson There’s A Way
Bicycles, beach volleyball and ice cream. The perfect ingredients for a love story; ours included.
In 2016, Dan Basco, asked Jenny to play beach volleyball on his cousin’s (Greg’s) team. This was the first, “YES”. Volleyball quickly morphed to bicycling to volleyball for sports together. Biking to volleyball turned into getting ice cream (often times, Mitchell’s ice cream) and then chatting after sports and ice cream.
Over the course of a few summers, our friendship blossomed into more. More time spent together, more love for each other.
August 15th, 2019, we had our first official date, which morphed from a sunset bicycle ride to spinning around Edgewater neighborhood, holding hands.
Ever since then, we’ve shared countless meals, laughs, shoulders, tennis matches, runs, bicycle rides on the Towpath Trail, a journey on the GAP Trail from Pittsburgh to Cumberland (2022 -Cumberland to DC, here we come!)
The second resounding ‘YES’ came on November 12th, 2021. While wrapping up our seasonal biking on the Towpath trail, outside of Bolivar we got engaged. It made the trip home much quicker!
One of us got a lovely ring, the other got super excited to become a cat dad. #CatDaddy #Meow
It’s been a ride, literally and figuratively so far and we cannot wait to start our forever together. As we realize we might have started 2 or so years ago…
No matter what life brings our way, we know that #WhereThere’sAWilsonThere’sAWay.
